Frilly Friday

Oh, the frill of it all! More thrifted lace goodies to use in my projects. This is an 80's jacket and skirt. Beautiful buttons, lace and fabric. I can use the entire thing for something pretty.

I found this cute bag at the local antique mall. The hardware comes apart easily, so I was able to launder it without any trouble.
And these are the coolest, ugliest, prettiest, pair of longjohns I've ever seen. I was thinking of cutting off the bottom and making a shirt, but they're just so wonderful and different, I hate to cut them up.

Free Give Away-Vintage Cup & Saucer

Tea on Tuesday...After all the shopping, cleaning, baking, cooking, and wrapping presents is over, wouldn't you love to sit down, put your feet up and have a cup of tea?
I'm giving away this lovely antique cup and saucer, so you can do just that very thing.
I'll be sure to include a couple of my favorite tea bags for you to enjoy as well.
Just leave a comment after this post and I will pick a winner right after Christmas.
Thanks for stopping by!

Friday's Frills

I must warn you, there are a lot of pictures here, but I just had to share with you the beautiful wedding dresses I thrifted yesterday. Everything you see here was purchased for $5.00. I'm sorry to gush, but this is a mountain of vintage and antique lace for a grand total of $5.00. It has to be the best find I've ever had on a treasure hunt. It will make you drool, I promise!

Frilly Friday

I love the blogs that dedicate something special for each day of the week. I wait in anticipation for their beautiful images and creative ideas to spark my own creativity. I am greatful that these generous, talented women are willing to share the beauty of their worlds with me and I would like to think that I might be able to do the same for them. That being said... I am calling today "Frilly Friday". Here is a beautiful, lacey, envelope style pouch that was a gift from a dear friend many years ago. It's all satin and lace, and has faded a bit over the years, but still remains just as lovely. I found this old, white pillowcase with hand crocheted, lace edging that belonged to my grandmother. Such a treasure to find after all these years of being hidden away in a box. It brings back delightful memories of times spent with Grandma Anna.
