Word on the street is that there is some very exciting news...
And the street is correct! I have
officially signed up for the Las Vegas Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon!! I know, I know-you are probably jumping up and down in your office/cubicle/home/coffee shop/place I don't want to know where you are reading this...
RIGHT NOW.
Okay, after you have calmed down and hopefully didn't drop your computer, lets get down to some details!
What is it? It's a freakin' race!!!
Why have one? Because I get to RUN and
raise funds and awareness for a totally fantastic cause (Yes, I said totally fantastic)
When is it? December 5, 2010
Where is it? Vegas baby. Enough said.
Who? YOU! ME! EVERYONE!!! okay, maybe not everyone...but lets see if we can try!
The Las Vegas Half Marathon is sponsored, in part, by the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. That's where I come in. I am raising funds on behalf of the foundation.
13.1 miles on the Strip past some of Vegas's historic landmarks with a start and finish at Mandalay Bay. In accordance with all of the Rock 'n Roll marthons, there will be plenty to dance to with a
rockin' band at every mile! Should you meet that special someone, you can get married at Mile 5! There will also be showgirls, live tigers, and bears-oh my! (minus the bears)
With a rockin' after-party headlined by Bret Michaels-I will be dancing the night away (assuming I can still walk)
If you are still able to breathe, guess what...there's more!! Even
YOU can be a part of this exciting opportunity! I know what you are asking yourself, "How can I possibly help?" Well there are so many ways you can help. To start, you are more than welcome to come with me and run (or just cheer and celebrate)-the more, the merrier!! Contact me for details.
If running 13.1 miles doesn't sound as appealing, please contribute in a slightly more sedentary way. 100% of your donation goes to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation-with 80 cents of eery $1.00 going to help find a
cure for Crohn's and Ulerative Colitis. I know....a
CURE!!!If you would like to find out more information about Crohn's and Colitis, which are both Inflamatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), please go to the CCFA website.

Further, if I raise over my fundraising goal, I will be dying my hair (temporarily-nice try!) the color of voter's choice!
Here is a pic of me with long hair (straightened so you can see the length).
Thank you in advance for being a part of something that means so much to me, and to so many people around the world!
Vegas----here we come!!!
